What is a DOT Physical?
If you're a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) driver who operates an automobile weighing as much as or greater than five tons, the DOT (Department of Transportation) mandates regular physical examinations to ensure that your health remains in compliance with safety regulations. These physicals have to be performed by a medical examiner who is certified by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). When you're up for your first or next DOT physical, our highly skilled team of medical professionals offers this service to men and women alike. Your exam will comprise a vision and hearing check, as well as other indicators of your total health, like blood pressure and the condition of the heart. Contact Q Factor Chiropractic in Mesquite, TX to schedule your DOT physical today.

What Is Included in a DOT Physical?
Your DOT examination will begin with a member of our team assessing your medical history and medications. Once this is done, we will perform a series of tests for various areas, such as:
- Blood pressure
- Heart health
- Neurological health
It is required by the DOT that you inform our team if you have received any new diagnoses or developed any new health conditions. Once you have passed your exam, you will receive a certificate that is valid for up to two years. However, if you do not pass, you may still apply for medical exemption. Our team will give you guidance if you need more information about this process.
