Herniated and Bulging Discs
How Q Factor evaluates and treats this after a collision, fall, or workplace injury.

Quick answer
What is it?
A herniated or bulging disc is when the cushion between two vertebrae pushes out of place and presses on a nerve. It can happen in the neck or low back after a collision and often causes pain that travels into an arm or leg.
Understanding the injury
What to expect.
Symptoms from this type of injury can begin at the scene or show up days later. Evaluation comes before any hands on care.
What it feels like
Sharp pain that shoots down a limb, numbness, tingling, or weakness. Coughing or sneezing may make it worse.
How we evaluate
Nerve and reflex testing plus a careful history. MRI is coordinated when the examination points to a disc.
What care looks like
Decompression, specific adjustments, and rehabilitation in office. Referral to other qualified medical providers when medically necessary.
