What kind of doctor should I see after a car accident in Texas?
Chiropractic, pain management, orthopedics, or neurology: how to pick a starting point.

The right first stop after a Texas car accident depends on what hurts and how much. For most people with neck, back, or joint pain and no red flag symptoms, a chiropractic evaluation is a reasonable starting point because it is fast, it includes imaging when needed, and it connects to the rest of the injury care system.
Start here if
You have neck or back pain, stiffness, headaches from the neck, or joint pain and you can move and think normally. Q Factor can evaluate you in the unit or in the office, usually the same day in DFW.
Go to the emergency department if
You lost consciousness, have severe headache, confusion, chest pain, trouble breathing, numbness that is spreading, or any symptom that frightens you. Q Factor is not an emergency service.
When another specialist is next
If the examination points to a disc, a nerve, a fracture, or a possible concussion, additional evaluation or treatment may be recommended. Based on medical necessity and each patient's individual needs, additional evaluation or treatment may be recommended through qualified medical specialists, including Pain Management, Orthopedics, Neurology, Mental Health Counseling, and other healthcare specialties as appropriate.
You do not need an attorney first
Care can start today. If you have an attorney or get one later, records are shared with their office on request.
